 
On 26 th of February 2008 in Elblong project final conference organized by City Hall of Elblong and cooperation meeting of representatives of small and medium enterprises from Elblong and the Kaliningrad region organized by KITC were held. During the Conference the project and working design of the Elblong Technopark were presented. Among others there were presentations of Innovation Center in Gdynia , Varminjsko-Mazursky Special Economic Zone, ICT and Furniture clusters and Gdynia Technology University . Pr. Nikitin as Project coordinator informed about activities concerning development project design of Kaliningrad innovation and technology business incubator on the base of reconstruction of College 19 in Gutievsk and described main principles of its functions.
Representatives of the innovation companies from Elblong and Kaliningrad region took part in the cooperation meeting at three sections: information technologies, construction technologies, furniture. Cooperation meeting increased level of knowledge about the business opportunities in both countries and discussed possible mutual cooperation.

On 8 of June in Elblag the IV international conference devoted to the project of creation of technological park in Elblag and birthday of Elblag (770 years old) was held. In June the project Stimulation for use of fishery resources in the Neighbourhood region has started. The project is financed in the framework
of the EU Interreg/Tacis program. The partners of the project are
Kaliningrad State Technical University , Innovative-Technological Centre,
Bal-tic Innovative Company and Lithuanian State Research Fishery Centre.
The tasks of the project are: analysis and economic estimation of
conditions of biological resources and systems of re-production in trans
border reservoirs of the region; development of a new technological card
for fish reproduction of young fish: eels, tench and pike in cross border
natural water reservoirs; creation mobile fish-water laboratory;
organization of cooperation meetings and simulators for the experts of
fish-farming and fish industry of the Neighbourhood countries.
On May, 18, 2007 the closed tender «Conceptual and technical designing of development of The Kaliningrad innovative center (business - incubator) on a base of professional technical school ¹19», organized according to EU neighbourhood programm INTERREG/TACIS project «Support for the SMEs of the neighbourhood regions on a basis cooperation and transfer of technologies» has taken place in The winner of the tender is a company «Russian project». The design company has started development of the outline sketch and technical inspection of buildings professional technical school ¹19 in Gurievsk city.
On May, 10-11 KITC employees have made a working visit in Business Incubator and Klaipeda Science and Technology Park (KSTP) in the framework of EU neighbourhood programm INTERREG/TACIS project «Support for the SMEs of the neighbourhood regions on a basis cooperation and transfer of technologies». more...
